The Perfect Family (2011)Kathleen Turner plays the devout Catholic matriarch of an unconventional family who has been nominated as Catholic Woman of the Year. A Thousand Words (2012)Eddie Murphy plays his usual fast-talking character in this comedy with a message. As a book publicist Murphy’s character, Jack McCall, often uses his words to get what he wants, even if it means bending the truth a bit. When Jack discovers a mysterious tree in his backyard he’s surprised to learn that it’s a curse and for each word he speaks or writes a leaf falls, and when all one thousand leaves have fallen he will die. As Jack’s life spirals out of control – he loses his job and his wife – he must learn to appreciate his relationships and and his life. |
