DISHÂ Network has landed yet another deal that adds to the already robust channel and network layout that has taken the company to the peak of satellite TV. The groundbreaking agreement with Scripps comes on the heels of other contracts with Disney, announced i March, and A+E Network, announced just last month.
The deal grants DISH innovative OTT programming and multi-stream rights for live and Video-on-Demand content, covering all channels in the Scripps Networks Interactive SNI portfolio, including HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel and expands distribution of DIY Network and Cooking Channel. Also, authenticated access expanded to include live and Video-on-Demand content on connected devices.
Reported by Seeking Alpha, the agreement includes over-the-top (OTT) multi-stream rights for live and Video-on-Demand content. The agreement also expands DISHs distribution of authenticated live and Video-on-Demand Scripps Networks programming on Internet-connected devices.
Moreover, the agreement widens exposure of Scripps Networks programming to a larger swath of DISHs traditional viewer base by opening DIY Network and Cooking Channel to the popular Americas Top 200 programming package.
The renewal agreement applies to the entire suite of Scripps Networks channels, including: HGTV, DIY Network, Food Network, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel and Great American Country.
