There’s a new DISH app that when downloaded by specific electronic equipment, allows users to have a “Virtual Joey†almost wherever they are, and access content with Hopper®/ Hopper with Sling® accounts.  At January’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), DISH unveiled the Virtual Joey app that enables consumers to access Hopper content from popular LG Electronics and Sony PlayStation® devices.
The Virtual Joey app provides an entertainment viewing experience nearly identical to a normal Joey for current residential and commercial customers presently with Hopper systems. The app is compatible with the following consumer electronic devices:
One Virtual Joey may be active on an account at a time and customers must have a working Internet connection to set up the Virtual Joey and the Hopper/Hopper with Sling must be connected to a router with an Ethernet cable. DISH Network will ship a V.J. remote to customers individually.
